About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer Advocate to join our team at Treehouse. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of new technologies and shaping the future of our open source ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Building: Foster strong relationships with developers, ISVs, and other stakeholders to grow our community and drive adoption of our platform.
  • Content Creation: Develop and deliver high-quality content, including blog posts, tutorials, and guides, to showcase the value of our platform and help developers get started.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to our development teams, ensuring that our platform meets the needs of our users and stays ahead of the curve.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and sales, to ensure that our platform is aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Event Planning: Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and meetups to showcase our platform and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Linux, open source development, and software development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Community Building: Experience building and engaging with developer communities, with a strong understanding of community dynamics and best practices.
  • Content Creation: Ability to create high-quality content, including blog posts, tutorials, and guides, that resonates with developers and showcases the value of our platform.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and sales.
