Overview: Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician with a strong interest in surgical procedures and anesthesia to become a vital member of our surgical team. You will collaborate closely with our board-certified veterinary surgeon in a state-of-the-art facility.
Facility Highlights: Our new 17,000 sq ft hospital features 9 examination rooms, advanced imaging technology including CT and MRI, an independent ICU, and various specialties, all equipped to deliver exceptional care to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Induction, management, and recovery of anesthesia for surgical and critical patients.
- Administering and understanding common and emergency medications.
- Collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment while fostering relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
- Delivering outstanding client service and support.
- Proficiently administering intravenous fluids and injections, including the placement and maintenance of intravenous catheters.
- Assisting in surgical preparations and procedures.
- Ensuring the sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Conducting diagnostic imaging as required.
- Managing fluid pumps and setups, including syringe pumps.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
- Must hold a valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) designation.
- In good standing with relevant licensing boards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and maintaining constant movement.
