Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and manufacturing processes. The Shipping and Receiving Technician will engage in various tasks focused on shipping and receiving duties while also supporting manufacturing operations through manual and physical tasks. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform diverse responsibilities that require stamina and a willingness to learn on the job. Understanding and executing instructions efficiently within deadlines is crucial. Candidates with a background in manufacturing, particularly in mechanical assembly or piping environments, will find an advantage. Experience in handling large or heavy products is also beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a valid forklift certification with a history of safe operations.
  • Hold a valid G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Execute all tasks in a safe and ethical manner.
  • Load and unload materials/products from flatbeds, trailers, and roll-tight carriers.
  • Transport materials using a company vehicle.
  • Complete tasks accurately and within time-sensitive constraints.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Document and confirm inbound and outbound materials and products in both written and electronic formats.
  • Utilize Microsoft platforms effectively.
  • Pick, pack, and palletize orders following provided documentation.
  • Handle materials both physically and with forklift assistance.
  • Assist in manufacturing areas as required by demand or circumstances.
  • Organize inventory efficiently.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Possess a positive attitude and a desire to grow with the organization.
  • Adhere to safe practices for oneself and fellow team members.
  • Work effectively in a flexible team environment with job rotation as necessary.
  • Be available for overtime as required.
  • Show willingness to cross-train for various job functions.

Working Conditions

  • Capability to use ladders at heights of at least 10 feet.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Lift, kneel, bend, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs. for extended periods, including overtime.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
  • Maintain good physical condition and endurance.
  • Work in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
