Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Care

Deliver personalized care to patients before and after surgery, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Offer Safety and Health Education

Provide patients and their families with essential information on health and safety, empowering them to make informed decisions.

Provide Nursing Services

Offer nursing care to patients based on individual assessments and care plans, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Monitor Patient Progress

Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • Eligibility for Licensure

Be eligible for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.

Certifications and Licenses

Hold certifications in Intravenous (IV) therapy and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment, with a large caseload and physically demanding tasks.

Personal Qualities

Demonstrate accurate, client-focused, dependable, and efficient interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication.
