About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Information Modelling Specialist to join our team at Federal Electric (1976) Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, supervising other drafting personnel, and training new team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare engineering designs and drawings, read blueprints to determine work requirements, and develop and prepare design sketches.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other drafting personnel, train new team members, and lead groups to achieve project goals.
  • Project Coordination: Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements, and prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare contracts and tenders, write technical reports, and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
  • Quality Control: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and ensure that all work meets company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
