Job Summary

Reconomy is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team in Durham. As a Contract Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of our contract management processes.

About the Role:

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure contract compliance, including:

  • Coordinating with Receiving Facilities and Eligible Community Contractors to ensure timely and accurate data reporting
  • Creating, modifying, and filing compliance checklists to verify contractual obligations
  • Completing data analysis and reconciliation of contractor data and submitting invoices accordingly
  • Requesting, receiving, reviewing, and filing all compliance documents by contract deadlines
  • Identifying, communicating, and resolving contract deficiencies/violations in a timely manner
  • Escalating issues that cannot reasonably be addressed to Reconomy management
  • Maintaining all documents related to the contract(s) in a centralized filing system
  • Providing support and training to Receiving Facility (RF) and Eligible Community (EC) Contractor(s) to ensure contract compliance and data reporting requirements are satisfied
  • Completing data analysis, and reconciliation, identifying errors, and ensuring corrections are made by the EC Collection Contractor(s) in a timely manner
  • Inputting data into centralized systems as required
  • Identifying, assessing, and reporting risks, issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement for consideration by Reconomy Management
  • Ensuring all compliance documents are requested, received, reviewed, and filed by contract deadlines
  • Responding to and coordinating emergency and contingency issues, where necessary
  • Overseeing the collection, preparation, storage, and shipment of material samples to a centralized Reconomy auditing facility
  • Overseeing the delivery of blue box materials from all EC sources to the approved RF
  • Undertaking regular site visits and physical inspections of RFs
  • Ensuring contract compliance at the approved RF with regard to wait times, weigh scale protocols, tipping procedures, etc.

About You:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in contract administration and compliance. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years operational contract administration and compliance experience
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience meeting deliverables while working remotely at various locations
  • Project Management experience would be considered an asset
  • Proven experience working in an operational environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience with data analytics, logistics, waste management service delivery, contract management, project management, and communications
  • Experience performing program audits, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrections
  • Knowledge of various municipal, provincial, and federal legislation (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, by-laws, etc.)
  • Experience working in the waste management industry is considered an asset
