These associates work in cooperation with their supervisors and other sales associates in various departments, including Lumber, Building Materials, Paint, Hardware, Electrical, Plumbing, Seasonal, and Tool Rental.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand their project requirements and provide expert advice on flooring solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure the in-stock condition of assigned areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Perform tasks that require heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Pick, organize, and verify orders for delivery or pick-up, utilizing computer terminals and/or mobile devices.
  • Utilize technical skills to check inventory, look-up orders, and notify customers when products are ready for pick-up.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Experience working in a sales-driven environment is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and reading skills.
  • Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Trade experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Detail-oriented.
