Director of Events

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Events to drive our sales efforts and oversee our roster of Love Parties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing events from start to finish, managing day-of event coordination assistants, and collaborating with our Community + Operations Manager on sales leads.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute events from start to finish in alignment with Modern Rebel's unique and inclusive vision
- Manage day-of event coordination assistants, as needed
- Collaborate and strategize with the Community + Operations Manager on sales leads
- Report monthly on goals + more frequently on more immediate tasks in support of internal operations
- Champion the Brand
- Attend industry events and spread the word about Modern Rebel's services, mission, vision, and values
- Connect and build relationships with local venues and vendors to grow Modern Rebel's industry network of values-aligned vendors
- Minimum 5 years working in a event planning + event design
- Minimum 3 years of wedding planning experience
- Strong knowledge of the New York City events industry
- Weekend availability for on-site events [at least 12-15 weekends per year] and flex daytime hours
- $70,000 base salary + 5% commission on event sales
- Flexible work hours: Year-round summer Fridays - we end at 1pm [your time] on Fridays
