Job Summary

Forest View Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Per Diem/PRN capacity. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients on our psychiatric unit, utilizing the nursing process to develop individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver care to patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, including mood, anxiety, and thought disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other personnel in crisis behavioral management, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Assist with discharge planning, working with patients and their families to ensure a smooth transition to community-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice nursing in the state of Michigan (or eligible to receive or renew).
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
