Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing work on site to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. You will also be responsible for planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Work on Site
- Ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
- Plan and Implement Schedules
- Determine manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure project completion on time
- Manage Potential Problems
- Identify and address potential problems and work interference
- Assist in resolving problems and schedule difficulties
- Meet with Stakeholders
- Meet with owners, consultants, and architects in a professional manner
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure their concerns and best interests are represented
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Construction-related degree or diploma
- 10+ years of construction experience in special projects, institutional, commercial, and/or industrial projects
- Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software
- Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions in a team environment
