Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed facility specializing in mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment, providing evidence-based, medically-led inpatient services for various populations including first responders, military personnel, veterans, executives, professionals, adults, and young adults. As a Lead Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role within a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering integrated services and programs to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients and interdisciplinary team members
  • Conduct thorough assessments and formulate personalized treatment plans
  • Ensure the continuity of care is upheld
  • Support and encourage fellow team members in their professional development
  • Provide expert consultation and training to team members in your area of specialization
  • Liaise with referral sources and relevant external organizations, providing detailed progress reports
  • Assist in client discharge planning and coordinate outpatient counseling and referrals to appropriate community resources
  • Advocate for clients to foster self-advocacy and develop safety plans
  • Offer supervision and educational experiences for students

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) is essential
  • Registration with a professional regulatory body in the province of BC (e.g., College of Social Workers, College of Psychologists)
  • Training and familiarity with CBT, DBT, CPT, and mindfulness approaches
  • Understanding of addiction issues within the mental health care continuum
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Recognition of the importance of measurement-based care in guiding clinical decisions; experience is advantageous
  • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical therapeutic relationships
  • Proficiency in conducting group sessions with a diverse and complex clientele
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
