Job Title: Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at 15325056 CANADA INC. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, cutting and installing metal corner beads, and fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a focus on construction and material handling. You will be working outdoors and in dusty conditions, with regular exposure to noise.

Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with regular exposure to dust and noise
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
