Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tableau and Python Developer to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative data visualization solutions using Tableau and Python.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data visualization, and software development. You will work closely with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Write SQL queries for data validation and verification
  • Develop and update ETL pipelines to support dashboards and alarm data flow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data visualization solutions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in leading development teams on large projects or programs interfacing with multiple applications and/or third parties
  • Proven experience as a Tableau developer (Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server)
  • Python knowledge, Pandas, NumPy, Apache Airflow, and AWS
  • Experience in front-end and back-end development
  • Knowledge of creating various dashboards based on business needs
  • Proven experience with agile delivery methodology and governance
