About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a Food Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food quantities used, and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
  • Cash Handling and Customer Service: Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service, and communicate effectively with management and other team members to address any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a food service environment is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Environment: This role requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
