Job Description

Job Overview:
The Flammability Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in the certification process of aircraft interior components produced both on-site and at various divisions. This position also involves supporting the engineering design throughout all stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review all pertinent technical specifications related to the project, including delivery matrices, customer finish specifications, and general arrangement engineering drawings.

- Engage in design reviews by assisting the design team during both in-house and customer evaluations, ensuring familiarity with proposed interior units and finishes, while identifying and addressing potential issues with material combinations and suggesting compliance demonstration methods.

- Prepare documentation for flammability substantiation, including flammability test plans and reports, to demonstrate adherence to applicable regulatory standards, and manage all documentation associated with the flammability substantiation of assigned units.

- Conduct peer reviews of test plans and reports to ensure quality and precision.

- Coordinate with mechanical design, program managers, and production managers on assigned projects.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the testing protocols utilized in the flammability laboratory for the certification of products referenced in the assigned test plans and reports.


Job Requirements

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or materials engineering is preferred, or equivalent training. Familiarity with 14 CFR 25.853/14 CFR regulations and Policy Statement PS-ANM R2 is advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of 1-5 years of relevant experience.

Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Windows Operating System, Office XP, Access, AutoCAD Lite, Catia, and Smarteam is beneficial.

Other Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential; proficiency in 10-key by touch is a plus. A strong understanding of aircraft certification flammability requirements, analysis techniques, testing methods, and documentation processes is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in both French and English is required.
