Job Title: Steel Stud Framer

Newville Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for constructing and installing steel studs and drywall in residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and steel
  • Prepare layouts and install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
