At the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, we're seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Supply RECE to join our team of early childhood educators. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional care and support to children, including personal care, first aid, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement engaging play-based learning activities that promote healthy development and learning.
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, and volunteers through effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that supports the needs of all children, including those with exceptional behaviors and additional needs.
- Adhere to work schedules, maintain accurate records, and demonstrate flexibility with routines and schedules.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent in accordance with local public health and Child Care Early Years Act.
- Availability requirements: minimum of 2 full days per week (6:30am-6pm both days) or 2 mornings (6:30-9:30am) and 2 afternoons (2:30-6pm).
- Early Childhood Education Diploma.
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) registration and membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
