Job Title: Medical Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Medical Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres. As a key member of our CARE team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health. You will be responsible for developing and delivering harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities, as well as providing medical care and support to patients. If you are a motivated and empathetic nurse who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency
  • Provide medical care and support to patients, including dispensing and administering medications
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Conduct ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening, and other vital signs as required
  • Update and maintain patient information within Electronic Medical Records
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft platform, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
