We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Officer to join our North American region, where we are implementing a new long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Revenue Generation: Achieve annual revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and renewal of existing policies.
- Business Development: Build a portfolio of business that aligns with Coface's strategic growth and retention goals.
- Lead Generation: Build an active pipeline of qualified prospects, generating leads from banks and insurance agencies, and from direct cold calling to business owners and CFOs.
- Product Marketing: Market and sell a specialized financial product (domestic and export credit insurance and other credit-related services) to corporations within assigned regions.
- Client Service: Service new and existing clients by monitoring their programs and coverage.
- Research and Analysis: Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities, as well as researching and analyzing sales options.
- Professional Development: Attend workshops to learn more technical and professional skills for the job.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' proven experience selling B2B; financial, banking or insurance solutions a plus.
- Track Record: Proven track record in client acquisition, as well as retention.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skill, both written and verbal.
- Network: Robust network in designated territory.
- Initiative and Motivation: Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, as well as work collaboratively in a team environment when needed.
Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 CAD
