About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Integration Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a key member of our data team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data systems that support our mission to provide high-quality health data and analytics to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data System Design and Development

Design and develop data systems that meet the needs of our stakeholders, including data warehouses, data marts, and data integration solutions.

ETL Development

Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Informatica DEI/BDM, PySpark, and Oracle DB.

Cloud Environment Management

Manage and maintain our cloud environment, including AWS services and tools.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

Develop and maintain documentation of data system designs, technical artifacts, and ETL environments.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data system designs meet business requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure data system success.

Requirements
  • Education

University degree or equivalent education/experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Experience

Three (3) + years experience as an ETL developer, developing technical solutions for a web/Cloud based environment utilizing the below technologies.

Technical Skills

Proven experience with ETL tools, PySpark, Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Git, Airflow, and Python.

Cloud Environment

Knowledge and experience with Cloud AWS environment, tools, and services is an asset.

Shell Scripting

Proficient knowledge and experience in shell scripting in Linux/Unix environment.

Documentation

Experience in creating and maintaining documentation of project ETL design, technical artifacts, and ETL environment.
