Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to lead our toddler classroom at Simply Smart - Child Care Centre & Montessori/Iroquois. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation
    • Develop and implement play-based programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children.
    • Plan and prepare materials and resources to support learning and development.
  • Classroom Management and Organization
    • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Manage classroom routines and transitions to ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience.
  • Child Development and Support
    • Observe and assess children's learning and development to inform program planning and implementation.
    • Provide individualized support and guidance to children as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
    • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) designation.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a childcare environment.
  • Ability to work shifts (7:30am to 6:00pm).
  • Standard First Aid CPR C+ certification.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Immunization up to date (including a 2 step TB test).
