We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Clinical Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, intervention, and support to preschool-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children with ASD and their families
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address the needs of children with ASD
- Provide training and support to families on strategies and techniques to support their child's development
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for children with ASD and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of services and support for children with ASD and their families
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia
- Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle
- CPR certification within the last 12 months and certification in First Aid
- Two years recent experience working with children with ASD and their families
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for children with ASD
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and ability to provide assessment and development, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of intervention plans
- Demonstrated ability to work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
