Clinical Interventionist, Provincial Preschool Autism Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our Provincial Preschool Autism Service team. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide assessment, intervention, and support to preschool-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children with ASD and their families
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address parent goals and promote child development
- Provide direct supervision to Program Implementers and contribute to the development of the 12-month intensive intervention model, manualized caregiver-mediated program, and focused interventions
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia
- Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle
- CPR certification within the last 12 months and certification in First Aid
- Two years of recent experience working with children with ASD and their families
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for children with ASD
- Excellent clinical care skills, including assessment, development, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of intervention plans
- Ability to work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework and independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain internal and external partnerships
- Excellent time management, organization, and solution-focused skills
- Understanding and commitment to family-centered care
- Committed to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
