Security Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Security Officer to join our team at Canadian Arctic Protective Services (CANAPS) in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

About the Role

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing security services to our clients, ensuring the safety and security of our personnel and assets. You will work closely with our team to maintain a professional and respectful work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security services to clients, including patrolling, monitoring, and responding to incidents
  • Conduct security checks and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to undergo security clearance with CRC as minimum
  • Good health and ability to perform mild physical demanding duties
  • Language: Inuktitut (required)
