We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Montrose Environmental Group in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate and drive a strong safety culture within the organization
- Support simple to moderately complex ARRM projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal project teams and clients
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists
- Communicate with clients and project-related stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information exchange
- Manage client communications and expectations, providing exceptional customer service
- Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
- Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and career growth, mentoring and developing junior staff members
- Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field
- A minimum of three (3) years' previous project management experience, preferably in ARRM projects in Western Canada or the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience with Workday software and managing client relationships
- Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization, such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) or the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work
- Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented, with good organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
- A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
