Course Overview

This course focuses on the intricate world of microprocessors and their architectures, including both CISC and RISC designs. Students will explore microcontrollers and embedded systems, gaining insights into the design of computers utilizing microprocessors. The curriculum also introduces the concepts of hardware and software co-design.

Position Type

This role is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position.

Teaching Schedule

Classes are scheduled for Tuesday from 17:30 to 19:00 and Thursday from 17:30 to 19:00.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a strong command of the subject matter, evidenced by prior teaching experience in similar courses or relevant professional experience. A valid Professional Engineer license is required. Candidates with a doctorate in a related field are preferred, although significant work experience in the relevant area may be considered.

It is essential to include your P.Eng. License number and province of registration in your application.

Contractual Information

The contract for this position encompasses a payment for 52 hours, as attendance at tutorials for at least one hour weekly is mandatory.

Teaching Methodology

This course will be delivered in person, ensuring an interactive and engaging learning environment.
