Graymont Limited is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its team, following an internal promotion. This role will operate in a hybrid model from the company’s modernized head office in Richmond, BC, adhering to IFRS standards.

Compensation: $66,650 - $91,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Conduct month-end accounting procedures
  • Execute general ledger account reconciliations
  • Manage inventory accounting, including reconciliations and production cost reviews
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting: asset creation, modification, disposal, depreciation calculations, and continuity schedules
  • Prepare bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and handle various banking tasks
  • Review and authorize transactions for the accounting team
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for management and the Board of Directors
  • Conduct financial analysis and proactively address any issues
  • Engage in projects and ad hoc assignments as necessary
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners, Plant Managers, and other operational staff
  • Support year-end audit processes
  • Generate various financial and statistical reports required by regulatory bodies and management
  • Prepare sales tax returns for different entities
  • Assist with sales tax audits
