As a Tool Rental Technician, you'll play a vital role in unleashing your inner orange by providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring our tool rental department runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools to ensure they're reliable and in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair tool issues, using your mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools to get the job done efficiently.
  • Forecast and maintain an adequate inventory of parts for repair, using information from manuals and vendors to help diagnose problems.
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare returned tools for rental by other customers.
  • Process tool rental transactions, including logging repairs and work orders, generating contracts, and taking deposits.
  • Train Tool Rental Sales Associates on turning, operation, and minor repair of new and existing tools.
  • Act as a Sales Associate on the floor, providing excellent customer service and operating a cash register.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient with computers.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and small machine repair experience.
  • Knowledge of tools, including how to maintain, repair, and order parts.
