We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Aide to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This role involves a variety of responsibilities within our food service department, focusing on food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Food Preparation: Assist in the pre-preparation of food items, including salads and sandwiches.
- Service Duties: Serve meals and beverages on trays according to dietary requirements, ensuring that all mealtime deadlines are met.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by completing assigned cleaning tasks and reporting any safety hazards.
- Support Role: Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations.
- Communication: Report any concerns regarding residents' dietary needs to the Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
- Education: Completion of Grade 10 is required.
- Certification: Food Handlers training certificate Level 1 or equivalent is necessary.
- Experience: Previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and maintain a clean work area.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and punctuality.
- Possess a genuine interest in providing care for residents.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the food service department.
- Assist with inventory management and clerical tasks as needed.
This position is essential in enhancing the dining experience for our residents and supporting the overall mission of Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
