Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineering Manager to lead our team of senior technical professionals responsible for the implementation and support of our DevOps Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our DevOps Platform, including all necessary tooling, containerization, and CI/CD capabilities.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure technologies and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
- Develop and grow talent within the team, promoting a high-performing team culture and collaborative engineering environment.
- Advocate and promote modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to drive change across development and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Proven managerial experience in leading platform engineering and support (DevOps/SRE) teams.
- 5+ years of practical hands-on technical experience combined with strong management skills.
- Comprehensive DevOps skills, including proven hands-on experience with source, artifact, orchestration, configuration, and secret management in collaboration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in coding/scripting using Python, Go, Ruby, Shell, or PowerShell languages.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (public and private) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, ArgoCD, Flux CD).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure-based solutions.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
