Job Summary

Mary Browns is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including main courses, sides, and desserts, using a range of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including the preparation and storage of ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving stock.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served on time.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

The Line Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Hours

The Line Cook will work 30 to 40 hours per week.
