Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Bus Driver to join our team at The Lakers' Go-Bus Society. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on our bus routes, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations
    • Operate buses to transport passengers on designated routes
    • Ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew members
    • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bus
  • Customer Service
    • Provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops
    • Collect fares and record transactions accurately
    • Assist passengers with disabilities or special needs
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the bus
    • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the maintenance team
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems
    • Respond to emergency situations and follow established protocols
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Air Brakes Endorsement
    • Class 2/2F/C Licence (buses with more than passengers)
    • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles, and buses with fewer than 24 passengers)
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in transportation or a related field
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
