Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and organized Bus Driver to join our team at DBA Williams Lake Transit. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and ensuring their safety while on board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate buses to transport passengers safely and efficiently
  • Provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops
  • Collect fares and record transactions
  • Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures
  • Ensure para-transit passengers board vehicles safely
  • Deal with public and resolve conflicts
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radio systems
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Class 2/2F/C Licence (buses with more than 24 passengers)
  • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles, and buses with fewer than 24 passengers)
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Driver's abstract
Working Conditions:
  • Local transportation/travel experience
  • 8 to 8.5 hours bi-weekly
  • Permanent position
