Naval Ship Maintenance Coordinator

Thales is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ship Maintenance Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and closeout of Work Period activities on assigned vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating internal and external teams through all phases of the work period, ensuring the successful transition from project planning to project closure.
Key Responsibilities- Execute, monitor, and control each project until its completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders with respect to the maintenance execution function on the ships.
- Supervise and coordinate Thales personnel and subcontractors to achieve agreed outcomes within their delegated authorities and responsibilities.
- Coordinate and conduct all required activities prior to the commencement of maintenance execution, including subcontractor kick-off meetings and authorization of purchase requisitions.
- Oversee all maintenance execution activities for designated maintenance periods to ensure material readiness objectives for the platforms are being achieved.
- Provide whole-ship project management support to the Coastal Ship Maintenance Team Lead as required to meet the availability standard and to meet the Full Mission Capability under the awarded ISS Contract(s).
- Manage the conduct of maintenance and/or Ad-Hoc tasking's during designated maintenance work periods within agreed scheduled time frames.
- Comply with and ensure compliance of others to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) legislative requirements, policies, procedures, and framework with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors, and/or the environment.
- Minimum 3-year technical program diploma in a marine technical field offered by a recognized technical institute or certified as a technologist by a recognized provincial, state, or federal (national) licensing body in a relevant field or certified body.
- Minimum of 8 years demonstrated technical professional work experience in the last 15 years, managing projects and teams preferably in the ship/dockyard and Naval environments.
- Experience with the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), or comparable document management system is advantageous.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Physical Environment: Office or onboard Naval ships alongside in harbor, or at sea, Will be required to undertake inspections, including confined space entry, on naval ships involving bending and twisting.
- Travel: Occasional domestic or international travel will be required, which will include access to government facilities and assets, including naval vessels.
