Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to manage and oversee financial documentation and reporting. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in a relevant field
Work Environment

This position is based in the head office, where you will collaborate with various departments to maintain financial accuracy.

Core Duties
  • Calculate and manage fixed assets and their depreciation.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance multiple accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries and prepare various statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and manage accounts receivable.
  • Balance cash and complete necessary balance sheets, cash reports, and related documentation.
  • Analyze operating costs and other relevant data.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in accounting software and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software.
