About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Allergan. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in advancing our medical and scientific objectives by providing scientific and technical leadership to external experts and thought leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scientific Leadership: Provide scientific and technical expertise to support the development of AbbVie's research and educational initiatives, while maintaining professional and credible relationships with external experts and thought leaders.
  2. Therapeutic Area Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area, including current legislative and regulatory controls, and apply this expertise to inform AbbVie's strategic priorities and initiatives.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams, to develop and deliver scientific presentations and summaries of key data to inform AbbVie's strategic priorities and initiatives.
  4. Thought Leadership: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with thought leaders in the assigned therapeutic area to facilitate AbbVie's research and educational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  5. Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop summaries of key data and other scientifically relevant information to inform AbbVie's strategic priorities and initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Education: University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in academia and/or pharma industry would be an asset.
  3. Language Skills: Fluency in English.
  4. Expertise: Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area, and in medical research in general.
  5. Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical and scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company.
  6. Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls applicable to this research.
