Position OverviewWe are in search of a dynamic and innovative business leader to become part of our Canadian HR Leadership team as the Vice President of Communications. As a key partner to our Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO), you will be instrumental in crafting our organizational narrative and enhancing the employee experience, directly contributing to our overarching business strategy. If you are a results-oriented communications professional with a flair for storytelling, extensive experience in stakeholder and issue management, and a proven track record of building strong relationships, we would be eager to connect with you.
As the Vice President of Communications, your responsibilities will include:
- Formulating and enhancing a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Adopting a field-first and operational mindset to manage outcomes within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Effectively communicating during transitional periods to mitigate disruptions and uphold stakeholder trust.
- Establishing and nurturing positive media relations and managing public relations crises to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely coverage.
- Safeguarding the company's reputation by proactively addressing key issues and promoting positive narratives. Leading a team of communications professionals, you will provide guidance, direction, and mentorship while fostering an inclusive culture that reflects our values and diversity.
- Assuming overall responsibility for our corporate recognition programs, including program management, associate communications, and event planning.
- Monitoring and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of communication and recognition initiatives, making informed decisions for enhancements.

- A seasoned leader in Communications/PR/Marketing with a passion for conveying the company’s business and values through diverse channels.
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience, preferably within a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional presentation, writing, and content creation skills.
- A proven ability to think strategically and drive results-oriented initiatives amidst complexity.
- A solid understanding of public policy issues that may affect the company’s operations or reputation.
