About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at D.A.D.O. Custom Millwork Inc. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom furniture and cabinetry for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Finishing and Assembly: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Physical Demands: Lift and move heavy objects (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and efficient interpersonal skills.
Language and Work Environment
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: 30 hours per week, permanent position.
