Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Ironwood Manufactured Homes Inc. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will assist experienced carpenters in the construction of residential homes, working on various tasks such as measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Assisting in the construction of residential homes, including framing, finishing, and installation of various components.
  • Participating in pre-apprenticeship training and on-the-job training to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Working at heights, in noisy environments, and handling heavy loads.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Reliability, physical stamina, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights.
