Network Systems Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network architecture to support business growth and expansion
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to ensure high uptime and availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure effective application support
Requirements:
- 2-year diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- ~8 years' related work experience
- ~Competency in managing medium to large projects
- Immediate knowledge of data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, security, and related supporting infrastructure
- Technology subject matter expert with applications such as SAP, CIS, GIS, MWFM, AMI, or CMS is an asset
