Job Title: Stone Polisher, Machine

We are seeking a skilled Stone Polisher, Machine to join our team at Ashtech Stones Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various machines to cut, grind, and polish stone blocks and slabs to specific dimensions and designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate blade or wire saws to cut stone blocks to specified dimensions
  • Check products for quality control
  • Operate machines to grind and polish stone surfaces to specific shapes and designs
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone
  • Perform ongoing machine adjustments
  • Operate stone-dressing lathe to sharpen and dress grindstones
  • Operate machines to drill holes in stone blocks or slabs according to specifications
  • Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a noisy and dusty environment. Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work are also expected.
