Job Summary

Strike Group is seeking a highly skilled CWB Structural Welder to join our team in the oil and gas construction and facility maintenance sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on structural components, ensuring compliance with welding procedure specifications and drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding on beams, channels, and plates in both shop and field settings.
  • Ensure welds meet or exceed industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits on structural components.
  • Operate hand torches, welding machines, and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor parts usage and report any material issues to the Foreperson/Lead Hand.
  • Participate in the Quality Control Program and follow written and oral instructions from the Foreperson/Lead Hand.
  • Communicate with other workers to ensure timely job progression and maintain a clean and functional work area.

Requirements

  • SMAW and FCAW all-position welding tickets required.
  • Experience with SMAW/FCAW in both shop and field settings.
  • Apprentice or Journeyperson applicants will be considered.
  • Ability to weld aluminum in both Spool Gun and Tig procedures considered an asset.
  • Aerial Work Platform/Skid Steer/Zoom Boom operating experience considered an asset.
  • Experience using or ticketed for shop overhead bridge cranes and rigging an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience in fast-paced settings.
  • Ability to work safely outdoors in any season.
  • Proactive approach to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
