Your Role

As a leader in information security, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Petal's IT security framework. You will be integral to our commitment to safeguarding healthcare data, collaborating closely with diverse teams to enhance our overall security stance.

Key Responsibilities

In your daily activities, you will be expected to:

  • Oversee and refine the IT security portfolio, manage team priorities, and address challenges with a solution-focused mindset;
  • Establish, implement, and uphold security protocols and procedures;
  • Serve as a strategic IT security advisor for technology and business initiatives;
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure secure deployment of technology solutions and business systems;
  • Plan and execute the security program, encompassing security assessments, configuration management, and controls;
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to promote their growth, support their performance, and ensure goals are achieved;
  • Represent IT Security in various working groups to ensure effective communication and adherence to security requirements;
  • Engage in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery efforts as necessary;
  • Lead the establishment of security standards and ensure their application throughout the software development lifecycle;
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends, offering recommendations to enhance security posture;
  • Act as a representative of the company before regulatory bodies when necessary.

Your Qualifications

Are you a recognized leader with a proven track record in developing and executing innovative IT security strategies? If you possess:

  • A college diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in computer science with a focus on Information Security;
  • Over 15 years of relevant professional experience;
  • A strong understanding of ITIL practices;
  • Expertise in information security management frameworks, standards, and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, etc.);
  • A comprehensive knowledge of application security, cloud computing, systems, and applicable security solutions;
  • In-depth familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile/DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies;
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT (preferred);
  • Solid experience in orchestration and automation technologies;
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior management and colleagues in developing strategic roadmaps;
  • Outstanding communication skills, including documentation, visualization, and presenting to diverse audiences;
  • Strong leadership capabilities, demonstrated by a remarkable ability to collaborate, take ownership, achieve results, self-motivate, and build strong relationships;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with strong analytical, organizational, and task management skills;
  • Proficiency in both English and French (spoken, written, and read) is essential due to regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues and suppliers.
