Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at BEST TRUCK REPAIR & TIRE CENTER. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and lubrication tasks to maintain the efficiency and longevity of our equipment.
  • Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty parts and components of our heavy-duty trucks, including automotive systems, commercial transport truck systems, and truck-trailer systems.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements, estimating parts and labor costs, and ensuring timely completion of repairs.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve team goals, coach and instruct apprentices, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform manual tasks with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
