We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse population. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of health conditions, including chronic diseases, mental health issues, and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within your scope of practice
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic investigations and interpreting results
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose patient status
- Prescribe medications within statutory and regulatory standards
- Supervise and evaluate the care delivered by other healthcare personnel
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice
- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated leadership practices, including clear, caring, and courageous leadership
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to critically assess and evaluate health research literature
- Ability to assess and recognize population health trends
- Ability to lead a team and work within a team
