About the Role

Reporting Structure

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance (AME - M) will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report unserviceable maintenance equipment to the designated Crew Chief.
  • Conduct inspections on aircraft in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all reportable service difficulties and maintenance irregularities to Quality Assurance and SMS.
  • Participate in training sessions as directed by management.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed for all deferred defects.
  • Research and order materials required for defect recertifications accurately.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance crew.
  • Communicate task completion to facilitate workflow.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to identify and rectify failures according to specifications and established procedures.
  • Maintain and repair airframe, engine, and propeller systems.
  • Document routine and heavy maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Promote the company's values, vision, and mission.
  • Certify aircraft for return to service.

Qualifications

  • Transport Canada Certified AME - M License is mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated integrity, creativity, and assertiveness in task execution.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to work towards obtaining an ACA.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Dash-8 and CRJ aircraft is advantageous.
