Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Okema Enterprises LTD. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our properties, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn maintenance tasks to ensure the grounds are well-manicured.
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage to keep the area clean.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to keep them healthy and thriving.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Remove trees as needed.
Requirements:
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and ear plugs are required for this role.
  • Flexibility, organization, reliability, teamwork, punctuality, creativity, and a hardworking attitude are essential for success in this position.
  • Experience is an asset, but not required.
