About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our residence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning, laundry, and vacuuming of resident suites as required.
  • Clean all common areas according to established policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Replenish supplies as required.
  • Perform additional cleaning and sanitizing as required, in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
  • Pick up and dispose of garbage from waste containers daily.
  • Ensure housekeeping room, closets, equipment, and carts are kept in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
  • Provide general assistance to residents as required.
  • Report any equipment or maintenance concerns within the residence to direct supervisor or designate.
  • Complete Occupational Health and Safety audits as assigned.
  • Maintain effective communication, both written and verbal, with co-workers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar housekeeping position is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Attention to detail is essential in ensuring cleaning tasks are performed to standard.
  • Dependable, responsible, and an ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable working with disinfectant and cleaning chemicals as well as hazardous materials.
