Electrician - Residential / Light Commercial Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team at Handyman Connection of York, ON. As a skilled craftsman, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of home improvement projects and support the growth of our business.
About the RoleThe Electrician will perform and coordinate the installation, repair, and service of electric and electronic components in a residential and light commercial setting. You must have experience as a residential electrician and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair installed existing equipment and related AC and DC existing branch circuits and feeders.
- Determine the general condition of all electrical equipment, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs.
- Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects.
- Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.
- Must have a current Driver's License and submit to a background check.
- Must have tools, vehicle, and good references.
- Must have experience in the remodelling or home repair trades.
- Independent Contractors must carry liability insurance and workers comp.
- Must carry electrician license.
- Must pass a screening process.
- Must have a smartphone and access to the internet.
Please note that we are looking for experienced Electricians, not Project Managers or those whose experience is primarily in New Construction.
