Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Legionella Quality & Compliance Manager to oversee and ensure the adherence to compliance and service delivery of our growing legionella division across the UK. This position requires close collaboration with operational management and administrative teams to maintain efficient operations and achieve departmental objectives. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background in legionella risk assessment and management, with significant practical experience as a legionella risk assessor or consultant. You will be responsible for managing legionella operations, leading teams of assessors and engineers, and maintaining our LCA accreditation through regular evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Legionella Services field teams throughout the UK.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and uphold industry standards.
- Work with operational management to improve daily processes and drive innovation within the department.
- Assist the sales team with quotations and tender submissions.
- Support the digital transformation of Surveying Services.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Audit a minimum of two Legionella risk assessment reports per surveyor monthly.
- Conduct quarterly evaluations on each surveyor's performance.
- Address microbiological issues within 24 hours.
- Achieve 100% completion of scheduled tasks weekly within budget and scope.
Job Specific Functions:
- Represent the company professionally in the marketplace.
- Stay updated on current water hygiene regulations and inform the company of relevant changes.
- Provide technical expertise and support within the organization.
- Manage the field-based legionella delivery team, ensuring adherence to KPIs and high performance standards.
- Travel across the UK to support field personnel and operational requirements.
- Oversee larger legionella projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
- Maintain high levels of staff morale, motivation, and discipline.
- Communicate potential sales opportunities from client interactions.
- Supervise the onboarding and auditing of subcontractors.
- Deliver Legionella Services as required, focusing on L8RAs, Written Schemes, and L8 Training.
- Conduct regular audits of post-service reports, field staff, and subcontractors.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of external field staff.
- Analyze field productivity and contribute to planning improvements.
- Participate in strategic initiatives to meet company objectives.
- Communicate and implement business strategies within external teams.
- Mentor surveyors and conduct annual evaluations, reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist the sales team with tender-related quotations.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for all Legionella services.
- Organize and ensure the functionality and calibration of necessary equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in keeping COSHH data current.
- Liaise with client/site personnel to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
- Immediately report any progress issues or problems on-site to the office.
- Develop digital compliance systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare for industry-leading audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and the Company Code of Conduct.
